"Vaccines & Tynonal Cause Autsim"

FAKE

Why?

MMR vaccine

The MMR vaccine was approved in 1972 and has been proven safe and effective for over 50 years. In 1998, a small study by Andrew Wakefield involving only six kids suggested a link between the MMR vaccine and autism. The paper was later removed due to large and serious flaws, such as a lack of control groups and the use of only a small amount of data. Later, there were 16 larger studies over millions of kids and many countries, which found no link between the MMR vaccine and Autism.

Tylenol

Research has indicated that Tylenol, or acetaminophen, is not responsible for the development of autism. The large Swedish study of more than 2.4 million kids discovered that although preliminary results indicated a slight increase in risk, when scientists compared siblings in the same families this difference disappeared. In these studies, there was no difference in risk of autism with or without Tylenol use during pregnancy (hazard ratio 0.98, 95% CI 0.93–1.04) (NIH, PMC). Another study in Japan between 217,000 children revealed no association after adjustment for health and family factors (PubMed). These findings show that previous speculations of Tylenol leading to autism were more based on some other reason than the drug itself.
